Grupo Xcaret

In 1984, the architect Miguel Quintana Pali bought 5 hectares in the Mayan Riviera to build his house. When he began clearing his land, he discovered it had cenotes (natural wells) and underground rivers, so he decided to create a park so that everyone could have access to the local natural marvels.
Together with the brothers Oscar, Marcos and Carlos Constandse, Miguel Quintana turned his idea into reality, in a park that was named Xcaret. From its opening in December 1990, Xcaret has been acknowledged as one of the most famous attractions of the touristic destinations in Cancun-Riviera Maya. Today Grupo Xcaret is globally a socially responsible leader company in sustainable touristic entertainment.

GRUPO XCARET’S HISTORY

Grupo Xcaret was started in 1990. It's a 100% Mexican corporate group and leader in sustainable touristic entertainment. Its history reveals its commitment by offering unforgettable experiences based on respect for nature, deep love for life and a great admiration for Mexico.
In 1995, Quintana Roo’s Government granted Xcaret members the permission to operate Xel-Há Park. This attraction offers visitors the possibility to enjoy the wonders of aquatic life in an amazing inlet with tropical fish, considered the most beautiful natural aquarium in the Mexican Caribbean.
In 2009, with Xplor Grupo Xcaret engaged in a touristic market of controlled adventures, offering unique attractions in which innovation, technological development and service excellence are combined. The most fascinating thing is its high security, accessibility and comfortable design, that has allowed the access of massive tourism for the enjoyment of visitors of different ages, sex and physical constitution.
In 2010, the local archeological zones tours project began. The Xichén tour includes a visit to Chichen Itza and to the Pueblo Magico (a status granted to some towns for their magical environment) of Valladolid in Yucatan. To offer more options, there are some variations that include tours to Tulum and Coba combined with a visit to one of our parks.
In 2013, 2 more parks were added: Xplor Fuego and Xoximilco, along with the tour Xenotes to the cenotes route in Puerto Morelos, Quintana Roo.
With the opening of the “Xenses” park in 2016, Xcaret entered the “sensory tourism”, since all its attractions represent a challenge to human perception and allow for fun experiences for the senses.
In December 2017, Grupo Xcaret opened its first hospitality experience. Hotel Xcaret Mexico with its original All-Fun Inclusive concept, which includes unlimited access to all of its parks, as well as round transportation from the hotel to Cancun International Airport (CUN). It has 900 suites with nature view, 12 restaurants and an eco-integrating architecture that makes you feel one with nature. Its 5-diamond service and staff hospitality will guarantee that you feel at home, with the best of Mexico included! In addition, the experience is boosted through its first Vacation Club: Mexico Destination Club.
With the goal of providing more alternatives for the adventure tourism in Cancun, in December 2018, Xavage was opened; a park with a different dynamic for its access, where visitors choose the activities they want to do, and the intensity level of each one. Keeping its high security standards, the park provides different adventure experiences for all ages, from young children to seniors.
